# Build a website in the "Courtyard" style
You are building a production-ready website. Follow the design system below exactly and adapt the content to the project. The design comes from the Qalib library (design No. 058).
## 1. The project
- Name: [fill in]
- Type of site: [fill in]
- What it does: [fill in]
- Languages: Arabic and English: Arabic first (RTL) and a full English version (LTR) with a language switch
- Pages: One page with sections and anchor links
- Contact details: [fill in]
- Assets: No photos yet: use suitable placeholders and mark each one TODO for replacement.
## 2. Visual reference
- Live demo (Arabic): https://qalib.omardeek.tech/demos/courtyard/ar.html
- Live demo (English): https://qalib.omardeek.tech/demos/courtyard/en.html
Each demo is one HTML file with all its CSS in a <style> tag. Download the raw file (for example `curl -s <url>`), not a summary of it, and treat its CSS as the source of truth for spacing, sizes and effects. The demo's business and text are fictional: never copy them.
## 3. Design DNA: Heritage
From Arab architecture and crafts: geometric stars, arches and mashrabiya, Palestinian cross-stitch, and true Arabic scripts (Kufi, Ruqaa, Naskh) in earth, clay and indigo tones.
- **Typography:** An authentic Arabic display script (Ruqaa, Kufi or a simplified Thuluth), clear Naskh for text, and a classical Latin capital face to pair.
- **Colour:** Earth tones (sand, clay, olive) with embroidery red, indigo or zellige turquoise, and touches of brass.
- **Layout:** Symmetrical compositions, photos inside arches, ornamental bands between sections, centred headings.
- **Shapes:** Pointed or round arches for images, eight-point stars, cross-stitch borders, ornamented corners.
- **Imagery:** Old architecture, doors and alleys, handicrafts, traditional food in warm light.
- **Motion:** Calm: soft reveals and a very slow rotation of ornamental stars.
- **Details:** A faint geometric pattern as a background, embroidery ribbons, Arabic-Indic numerals in details where they fit.
- **Avoid:** Ornament so dense it smothers content, broken or disconnected Arabic lettering, letter-spacing Arabic.
**This design in particular:** Deep teal, copper and zellige, old houses restored around a courtyard: an ornate frame, a large quote and homes in alternating rows.

- Arabic text: Noto Naskh Arabic (400, 600, 700)
- Latin headings: Marcellus (400)
- Latin text: Lora (400, 600)
- Type scale: h1: clamp(2.7rem, 6.2vw, 5.4rem) · h2: clamp(2rem, 4.2vw, 3.3rem) · h3: 1.25rem · text: 17px with 1.7 line height (Arabic 18px and 1.9) · max width 1200px · section spacing clamp(72px, 10vw, 136px)
## 5. Page structure
The demo shows a Real estate. Build the sections with these visual treatments, in this order:
1. **Header**: The logo centred on top with the links in a row beneath it, like a masthead; the call-to-action sits at the end.
2. **Hero**: Headline, lead and buttons centred inside a decorative frame, with a wide photo underneath.
3. **Main offering** «Featured listings»: alternating rows of a large photo and text, switching sides on every row
4. **Figures**: a row of four numbers with labels
5. **About** «Why Sakan»: A large centred quote with a signature, then the heading and paragraphs in two columns, then a strip of two photos.
6. **Extra section** «Services»: a numbered list of rows: title and text, with the price at the end
7. **Testimonials** «Reviews»: one large centred testimonial at a time, rotating every few seconds, with dots
8. **Contact** «Contact»: Two columns: heading, text and address/phone/email with icons; a panel with opening hours and a WhatsApp button.
9. **Footer**: four columns (brand and tagline, page links, contact, social) and a bottom bar
## 6. Motion
Subtle: elements fade up about 24px as they enter, staggered by 70ms; light lifts on hover.
**Decorations in this design:**
- zellige star-tile bands behind the figures and the call to action
- small ornamental dividers between sections: an eight-point star
## 7. Technical requirements
- **Stack:** Choose the stack that fits the project; prefer static HTML, CSS and JavaScript unless it needs more.
- Semantic HTML, mobile first, adapting at 360, 768, 1024 and 1440px, with no horizontal scrolling.
- Arabic: <html lang="ar" dir="rtl">, CSS logical properties (margin-inline-start, inset-inline-end…), mirrored directional icons, never letter-space or uppercase Arabic, and Arabic text at 18px or more.
- Accessibility: WCAG AA contrast, visible focus states, alt text on images, and all motion off under prefers-reduced-motion.
- Performance: self-hosted fonts with font-display: swap and only the weights and subsets in use, WebP or AVIF images with set dimensions, lazy loading below the first screen, and no heavy libraries for simple effects.
- SEO: a title and description for every page, Open Graph, a favicon, and LocalBusiness structured data where relevant.
- Buttons: WhatsApp links as https://wa.me/<number>, phone as tel:, email as mailto:.
## 8. Delivery
1. Start with the tokens and base styles, then build the sections from top to bottom.
2. Compare the result with the live demo at phone and desktop widths before you finish.
3. Finish with how to run the site and how to deploy it.
Paste it into Claude Code inside a new project folder.
Palestinian embroidery red on cream, a gallery of cross-stitch bands and photos inside arches, for an exhibition of thread and memory.
Dark wood, brass and a geometric lattice behind every section, like a restaurant in a Damascene house.
Moroccan tile blue and warm clay, eight-point stars and white arches like a riad.
Black ink and gold on paper with an old Kufic hand, like a school of calligraphy.
Crimson, gold and patterns, an old-city bookshop named after the poetry collection: a framed headline, the books in a dotted list and eight-pointed stars between sections.
Indigo night and lantern gold, twinkling stars and arches, in the spirit of Ramadan nights.
Dark oud wood, gold and eight-pointed stars, a perfumer from the caravan days: a photo in an arch, a faint pattern and perfumes in cards.
Henna red and gold on warm paper, like a henna night: an embroidered edge, the evening's timeline and photos of loved ones in a grid.
Olive and amber on pale stone, like the old village press: an arch over the photo, a quiet pattern and the pressing in numbered steps.
Night blue, gold and deep red, a hand-lettered sign workshop: a Ruqaa headline, eight-pointed stars and work on a wall.
Warm Jerusalem stone, rust and teal, a photographer of old quarters: a photo in an arch, a wall of pictures and packages in a ruled table.
